Deacon’s Corner is one of Vancouver favorite comfort food restaurants specializing in Southern-style cuisine. Our goal is to bring traditional Southern hospitality home-made, generous portioned culinary experience of the original Deacon’s Corner, which was a truck stop diner in Winnipeg. We prepare our food following traditional Southern recipes, cooking all the items in the menu from scratch in a simple and wholesome manner.

JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking to add to our team a passionate and responsible Cook who can work collaboratively to manage all responsibilities related to kitchen operations and maintenance. Someone who is passionate about food and the hospitality industry and bring their experience in Tex-Mex cuisine. Our ideal cook is a motivated self-starter that can anticipate any problems before they happen. This person, should have the ability to work in a dynamic team environment, multitask, and effectively communicate.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent, Full-time, Long-term.
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week
WAGES: $17.00 per hour
OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.
