Office Reception Clerk
We are currently looking for a positive, mature, and energetic individual who can work in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to communicate with a diverse clientele professionally and courteously at all times.
Responsibilities include:
• Perform reception support on seventeen phone lines on the Meridian and IP phone system
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and providing information to clients in a timely and professional manner on the phone and in person, while adhering to company policies and procedures
• Effectively and independently resolve customer issues and questions
• Assist with clerical and general office duties involving typing, faxing, scanning, record keeping and file maintenance
• Maintain client lists, call and visitor logs, and various client and employee databases
• Complete data entry and upkeep of the organization’s database, with a high level of accuracy
• Create flyers, letterheads, business cards, and invoices; should be proficient in formatting techniques
• Occasionally involved with company-wide event planning, and social media updates
• Maintain the cleanliness of the reception area, boardroom, kitchen and storage room
• Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience working with a multi-line phone system with preference given to those who are familiar with Meridian or IP phone lines
• High School Graduate or equivalent, with related post-secondary education preferably in administration
• A minimum of 1 year of combined reception, customer service and administration experience
• Superior customer service skills with a welcoming personality and a professional in-person and phone demeanour
• The ability to multi-task and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment is essential
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Excellent command of the English language with exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Enthusiastic and effective team player with sound work ethic, positive attitude and detail-oriented
• Results-driven, hardworking, energetic and capable of executing multiple tasks with tight deadlines
• Outstanding record of attendance from previous employment; extremely punctual
