The Manufacturing Technologist will assist in various areas of Production and Logistics to ensure key business objectives are met.
Perform Production Control activities such as generating batch tickets, allocation of raw and packing materials recorded in ERP, releasing batching order to production
Preparation of daily and weekly production schedules by reviewing customer work order and ship dates to customers
Manage inventory by maintaining and recording minimum and maximum stock levels of raw material, packaged materials and finished products
Initiate Purchase Orders requisition as required
Partner with Quality Engineering Manager in developing, building, or testing prototypes models using AutoCAD and solid works/CAD, CAM.
Prepare production documents, such as standard operating procedures, manufacturing batch records, inventory reports, or productivity reports.
Maintain quality system (ISO 9001:2008) that is designed to ensure on-time performance, defect-free output and customer satisfaction (both internal and external) with the goal of continuous improvement in all aspects of plant operations
Assist and implement plant layout design and production facilities with Plant Manager and Quality Engineering Manager
Post-secondary education with at least 2 year college diploma in related field is mandatory, university education an asset
Experience with database management and data entry a must (CMS and CRM)
Hands on experience in Logistics and chemical Industry
Continuous Improvement Projects like 5s and Lean Manufacturing
Experience in 2D & 3D designing software
Strong communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of organization
A self-starter with excellent organization skills
Ability to self-motivate and pro-actively identify issues and potential solutions
Results-oriented and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team
Hours of Work
8am to 430pm with occasional overtime
