The main responsibilities of a Special Care Worker-Medical are as per below:
-Take patients' blood pressure, temperature and pulse
-Weigh, lift, turn and position patients
-Administer suppositories, colonic irrigations and enemas
-Bathe, dress and groom patients
-Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
-Answer call signals
-Collect specimens
-Administer first aid in emergency situations
-Accompany patients on outside recreational activities and perform other -duties related to patient care and comfort
