Job Description:
Salmon Arm Camping Resort is seeking a passionate, reliable, dynamic, and full-time seasonal Food Services Manager, who will be able to Manage the planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the operations of the full-service coffee bar and ice cream café at the resort, in addition to providing management and support to the staff.
Main Duties include:
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria or other food or beverage service
• Overseeing inventory by working closely with vendors.
• Make and negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies
• Oversee staff training and recruit staff and overall management of staff
• Address staffing requirements, including the hiring, development, and retention of staff
• Monitor and assess staff performance and set staff work schedules
• Constructing a schedule for employees and managing their time off, sick leave, and time tracking
• Control inventory, monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Adhering to health and safety protocols and policies
• Evaluate and improve customer service and respond to customer requests and issues
Employment Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School
Previous experience in cleaning/housekeeping is preferred
Previous supervisory experience is preferred
