Job Description:
Salmon Arm Camping Resort is seeking a passionate, reliable, dynamic, and full-time seasonal Cleaning Supervisor, who will be able to supervise the planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the operations of the full-service coffee bar and ice cream café at the resort, in addition to providing management and support to the staff.
Main Duties include:
Supervise and co-ordinate the work of light duty, industrial or specialized cleaners and janitors
Inspect sites or facilities to ensure established safety and cleanliness standards are met
Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment, if necessary
Hire and train other cleaning staff
Prepare work schedule and co-ordinate activities with those of other departments
Perform certain cleaning duties
Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and uniforms
Establish and implement operational procedures for the housekeeping department
Ensure that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out
Select and purchase equipment and supplies
Employment Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School
Previous experience in cleaning/housekeeping is preferred
Previous supervisory experience is an asset
