Job description


Bayshore Lobster Ltd always provides the best quality lobster and plenty of seafood resources, she belongs to a Canadian local traditional fishing company, and we firmly believe that no matter where the customers come from, they should get the freshest live lobster.

We are now building our supply chain system to speed up production in global delivery. Our trucking fleet is equipped with a temperature control system and GPS monitoring the status of each shipment while in transit to ensure arrival at the destination safely.

Our factory and trading house, based in New Brunswick, are looking to hire a Senior Manager, Freight Division, to handle air and sea freight chartering, fix chartering of air cargo freighters and bulk vessels, as well as develop intra-Asian trading activities.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Prepare financial and management reports. That could involve liaising with transport, subcontractors, airlines, bulk vessel owners, and customers.
  • Submit detailed reports to GM at specified times.
  • Deal with air carriers and bulk owners in channels creating contracts
  • Actively manage COA and FFA trading contracts.
  • Ensure that seafood is 100% moved safely and efficiently within 48 hours and to ensure the last mile of cold supply chain management delivery in China.
  • Plan and develop the company's strategy, including the operating procedures based on financial budgets.
  • Establish suitable chartering cargo freighters and vessels, fix for perishable and parts of dry bulk goods globally, and negotiate with owners, operators, and brokers.
  • Work closely with the traders and the China air cargo terminal operation teams, including SF airline, Eastern China Airlines, Air China cargo airline,
  • Evergreen air cargo airline relationships in China, to ensure a smooth trade process with on-time transportation.
  • Actively manage intra-Asian trading contracts to fulfill the company's freight trading objectives,
  • Assess the feasibility and profitability of chartering air cargo freighters and vessels, and develop associated charter management plans.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • Minimum of a two-year college diploma in a related field plus a minimum of 5 years direct experience fixing chartering air cargo freighter and bulk vessels with in-depth knowledge of market fundamentals.
  • Experience dealing with air carriers and bulk owners in multiple channels.
  • Strong analytical skills in negotiation and communication and experience in the active management of COA and FFA trading contracts.
  • Ability to communicate in Chinese Mandarin would be considered an asset

Other requirements: frequent travel to China required.
