Role Description
- Manage kitchen operations
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Supervise kitchen staff, Inspect work stations and food service areas.
- Monitor and order kitchen supplies and equipment
- Ensure smooth running of the kitchen and food service areas
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Weigh, measure, mix and prep ingredients according to recipes.
- May assist with operation of cleaning equipment and dishwashing machines when needed to ensure cleanliness of all kitchen areas, tools and utensils.
- Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, monitor and order supplies.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Recruit and hire staff
Role Eligibility
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
- No prior experience required, any experience is an added advantage
- Good English communication and writing skills
- Prepare and cook different type of Food
- Possess knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team.
- Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Ability to stand for extendable periods, to do Multi-tasking
Salary & hours
$13.50 to $14.50 / hour (To be negotiated)
30 to 48 hours / week
Location - Morden, MB R6M 1G3
