Job Title: Carpenter, Framer

Compensation: starting at $ 30.25/ hour

Specific Skills

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments

Work Setting: Commercial, Residential

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Tight deadlines, Large workload, heavy loads, Overtime required, Bending, crouching, kneeling,
• Physical labour required. Mix of sitting and standing.
• Transportation and travel information: Willing to travel
• Capable of supervising 1 to 2 people
•  Has tools/Equipment Hard hat
• Willing to travel at multiple job locations
• Work Site Environment: At heights, Confined spaces, Noisy, Dusty
