Tasks
- Cooking wide variety of foods as per customer preference keeping in mind food allergies or intolerances. Prepare and cook complete meals.
- Schedule and supervise Kitchen Helpers, and ensure their work area is clean.
- Hire and train kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of foods. Maintain inventory and records of foods, and prepare and oversee buffets.
- Work on menu planning, food supply monitoring, and estimating food requirements.
- Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness.
- Monitoring and managing cooking tools and ingredients.
- Making adjustments to accommodate clients with specific diet and health concerns.
- Setting up the work station.
- Developing recipes that comply with company policy.
- Estimate food requirements and costs.
Role Eligibility
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required
- 2 years to less than 3 years is required
- Good communication skills to ensure efficient discussions of orders to support staff
- Ability to adapt and succeed in a fast paced environment
- Required combination of sitting, walking, standing for extended hours
- Physically demanding job
- Good English communication and writing skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
- Effective interpersonal skills, team player, self-motivated, problem solver & guest focused.
