Job description

A private household situated in Surrey, BC, is looking to hire a Home Support Worker for their 81 years old blind father.

Location:  #8751 Finn Road Richmond, British Columbia, V7A 5C5, CANADA.

Position Title: Home Support Worker NOC 44101

Wage: $23.00/hour; 40 to 50 hours per week

Overtime: $34.5/hour after 40 hours per week

Vacation Pay: Remuneration 4% Gross Pay

Vacancy: 1 position available

Anticipated Date:  As soon as possible since patient needs assistance.

Employment Terms:  Full time and Permanent

Job requirements:

Languages: English

Education: Completion of Secondary (high) School, Completion of a training program in Old Care or a related field, First Aid Certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training required.

Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

Personal Suitability: Initiative, Organized, Judgement, Flexibility, Reliability, Effective interpersonal skills,

Main Duties:  Provide personal care, Provide Companionship, Prepare and serve nutritious meals, Assist in regular exercise e.g. taking out for Walks, Feed or assist in feeding, Administer bedside and personal care in Dressing and Undressing, Providing Medication as per Nurse's Direction, Some housekeeping duties such as  laundry, dish washing and making beds.

Specific Skills: Related work experience from Inside or outside Canada.

Work Site Environment:  Non-smoking

Work Setting:  Employer's home, Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis. Note: This is NOT a condition of employment
