Quality Control Technician (Except chemical).

Position: Permanent Employment, Full Time

Starting date: As soon as possible

Employment Conditions: Early morning, Morning, Day, Weekend, Over time.

Job Requirements: 

Responsibilities: On site sampling, coring, and testing of asphalt and gravel, lab testing of asphalf and gravel-lmited to sieve analysis)gradation) and oil content testing, coordinate testing schedules, quality control and sub-contractors' quality control, maintain and perform detailed records, other duties as required.

Qualifications: Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years Or  Equivalent Experience is preffered, 1 to 2 years of experience with asphalt testing, prior experience with road building industry, previous experience with civil engineering as a technologist, must have proven ability to be self-motivated and be able to work with limited supervision, good written and verbal communications skills in English, valid alberta driver's licence witha clean driver's abstract, proficienty in Microsoft Word and Excel and other ERPs, strong organization skills, detailed oriented and ability to manage multiple tasks, proven customer servicve ability.

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Additional Information: This is a permanent full time position, must have access to a reliable vehicle to commute to the Acheson site, training will be provide for various activities, we offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months, training will be provided for various activities.

Tasks: develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance programs, design plant layouts and productions facilities, develop and carry out work study, develop and carry out health, safety and fire prevention plans, collect and analyze date and samples, assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports, set machine or equipment controls, oversee production and inspect process.
