At Oh Cake, we’re not just a regular, run of the mill bakery; we are a baking house with a spirit of experimentation. We mix in the highlights of Western dessert making with the foundational disciplines of traditional Chinese pastry and snacks. The result is a varied collection of exciting flavours that combines the best of the East and West, with ingredients and combinations of which you may have never heard.

Key Responsibilities

1. Shape dough and batters to prepare different types of products, including cakes, cookies, puffs, etc. based on recipes and clients’ preferences.
2. Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and other sweet goods (e.g., chocolate ganache, caramel sauce, and fruits)
3. Bake mixed doughs and batters.
4. Display and decorate finished cakes and other products to make them client-ready.
5. Ensure every product meets the expectations of the clients and reflects well on the standards of the establishment.
6. Create schedule to make sure cakes and other sweet goods are being produced on time.
7. Track baking supplies and place orders as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Completion of secondary school; higher education in related fields will be an asset.
2. 1-2 years of baking experience.
3. Excellent knowledge of safety, health rules, and quality controls.
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills to assist in the day-to-day operations within the bakery.
