Raffles Road Carriers Ltd. is looking for 10 Full-time Long Haul Truck Drivers for its Halifax, NS location.

Job Duties:
1. Travel as a member of a two-person team to deliver freight across North America.
2. Operate tractor-trailer combination.
3. Conduct a pre-trip inspection on the tractor-trailer before every journey.
4. Communicate regularly with the dispatch office for instructions and updates.
5. Obey and follow the Department of Transport of Canada and USA rules on safety and hours of driving.

6. Perform emergency roadside repairs.

7. Record cargo information, distance traveled, fuel consumption and other information in log book.

THE REQUIREMENTS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Completion of High school education is required.

2. No experience required. On job training will be provided. If you have any previous experience, it would be an asset.

3. Basic knowledge of English

4. Should have Class 1 or equivalent driving license or should be able to acquire one. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement required.

5. Must be able to travel for an extended period (7 days turnaround. Willing to travel Canada and the United States.

Remuneration: a) ($25.10/HR) 50 hours per week. Overtime after 60 hours per week.
