$21.00/Hour to $27.50/ Hour depending on experience. 

 

Available Shifts: 

Weekend availability, 8 Hour shifts, Monday to Friday

Full Job Description:

Sri Periyava  Dosa Bhavan Restaurant Ltd. is a family run restaurant which is growing in popularity in Surrey, B.C. The restaurant is famous for it’s wide variety of Vegetarian North Indian and South Indian Cuisine along with North and  South Indian sweets, Drinks and street food. They have indoor dinning and takeout facility. They are associated with major food delivery applications and deliver food to its’s remote customers through a well –planned food prep and packaging mechanism in place. Sri Periyava  Dosa Bhavan Restaurant Ltd. is an upcoming family run restaurant, which has the zeal and taste to capture the highly competitive restaurant Industry in the lower mainland region of BC in pure Vegetarian North and south Indian dishes and in Indian sweets, drinks and street food.

 

About the role:

The right fit for this role is someone who has experience in  both  as a  North and South Indian cook along with Indian sweets, drinks and street food dishes and should be able to lead the kitchen operations with little or no supervision from the head chef- owner. You should have experience in providing positive and inspiring leadership, giving support where needed, and contributing to an awesome restaurant atmosphere and positive work place culture.

 

Job requirements:

Education: Completion of secondary school to ensure that the candidates meet basic academic standards of education.

 

Experience : 3 years in North Indian and south Indian dishes along with sweet making and drinks and street food cuisine.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or head – chef.
  • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerance
