Great Blinds in Surrey, BC is seeking dedicated and diligent individuals to fill the position of full-time Venetian Blind Installer. We install tilt & turn windows, motorized windows, Fauxwood Clutch Systems, and Honeycomb Blinds, among others. Position Description

Position: Venetian Blind Installer

Type of employment: Full-Time, Permanent

No of positions: 5

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland areas of BC.

 

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $27.50 per hour

Overtime and Vacation Pay

Job Responsibilities

  • Cut, shape, and assemble materials to form parts using machines and hand tools.
  • Follow work order instructions to establish layout and installation.
  • Operate machines to fabricate parts and products.
  • Assemble parts and components using techniques like screwing, clipping, gluing, bonding, or welding to form the final product.
  • Refine products to their final form through sanding, trimming, grinding, or cleaning with hand tools.
  • Conduct quality control checks on assembled products to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Properly package the finished products for shipment.
  • Participate in inventory management, including checking supplies and ordering materials as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in work areas, ensuring removal of scraps, dust, and by-products from the site.
  • Uphold all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Troubleshoot assembly issues, identifying problems and suggesting efficiency improvements.
  • Carry out any other job duties as instructed.

 

Job Requirements

  • No prior experience is required; we welcome candidates from all backgrounds. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided.
  • High school would be an asset but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Flexibility to adjust to varying work environments and schedules.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and schedules.
