Pay Rate: $26.25/Hour

Working Hours: 50 to 60 hours per week

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Education Requirement: Completion of Secondary school is required

Job Description:

The Candidate should be able to perform the following duties:

Operate and drive straight and articulated trucks (Long-haul) to transport goods to and from various Origins and destinations as dispatched.

Follow all Company, Local, Provincial, Federal safety procedure (s) required to transport the goods

Ensure that the loaded cargo is properly secured at all times

Plan the trips as per Hours of Service regulations and have all the necessary documents that are needed to transport the goods within Canada and Across the Border to the U.S.A.

Must perform inspection of the vehicle including the systems, the equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and brakes before, during and after the trips. (Pre-Trip, On-Route and Post-Trip Inspections)

Shall maintain logbook(s) manually or electronically and record all information required under the applicable regulations including duration of each duty status (Driving, Sleeping, On-Time and Off-duty), distance travelled and fuel purchases.

Able to manage bills of freight and other applicable Load Documents

Able to communicate with other drivers, dispatcher(s) and customer(s) using the communication system and other on- board computer.

Able to do emergency roadside repairs when required and may drive as part of team.

Experience Requirement: No previous experience is required. We will train

Credential Requirements:

Driver’s License (Class AZ or Class 1)

Air Brake (Z) Endorsement

Job Requirements:

Effective communication skills, knowledge of first aid is an asset.

Candidate should be willing to work all shifts.
