Star Pacific Transport Ltd. is currently looking for 6 Full-time Long Haul Truck Drivers.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: $27.00/hour for 50 hours a week.

Vacation Pay: 4%

Language: English

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Location of work: Various locations across Canada/US with business based at address

Job Description:

• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, weighing over 4600 kg with three or more axles to transport goods and materials to destinations

• Oversee all aspects of vehicles such as condition of equipment, loading and unloading, and safety and security of cargo

• Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods

• Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights, and brakes

• Perform emergency roadside repairs

• Record cargo information, distance travelled, fuel consumption and other information in log book

Employment requirements:

Completion of High school is required.

Experience: Not required, Previous experience as a truck driver can be an asset. On the job training will be provided.

Basic knowledge of English

Should have Class 1 or equivalent driving license or should be able to acquire one.

Air Brake (Z) Endorsement required.

Willing to travel all over Canada and the United States by day/night/evening/night.

Clean driving abstract.
