Employer is looking to add a Food service supervisor for his Stratford, ON; location. The working hrs will vary between 35 to 40 hours per week;
Terms of employment Permanent employment Full time. The job is in a fast faced environment and requires the applicant to stand for extended hrs, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Start date :Starts as soon as possible;
Ability to supervise- 3 to 5 people.
Have excellent Interpersonal skills and communication skills.
Should be approachable, flexible, team player, and have the ability to solve problems.
As a Food Service Supervisor, you will perform some or all of the following duties:
- Establish methods to meet work schedules
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
- Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures
- Estimate and order ingredients and supplies
- Hire food service staff
- Ensure food service and quality control
- Prepare budget and cost estimates
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
- Prepare and submit reports
- Supervise and check assembly of trays
- Establish work schedules
- Helping employees identify and complete the Career Development Action Plan
- Have solid understanding of the complete baking process, from mixing to baking to be able to supervise the bakers
