Location: Mississauga, ON L5T 2M9

Salary: $30.50 per hour for 35 hours per week

Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and coordinating the work of landscape construction, assigning tasks, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Creating landscaping plans, scheduling projects, and setting targets for completion.
• Ensuring that all landscaping work meets company standards and adheres to the design specifications.
• Managing the maintenance and repair of landscaping tools and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all team members follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
• Maintaining work records and logs while assisting in budget planning, monitoring expenses, and optimizing costs to meet financial objectives.
• Interacting with clients to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide updates on project progress.
• Identifying and resolving issues or challenges that may arise during landscaping projects.
• Reviewing and approving landscape designs to ensure they align with client expectations and company standards.
• Promoting eco-friendly practices and sustainable landscaping techniques.
• Maintaining accurate records of project details, expenses, and labor hours for documentation and reporting.
• Ensuring projects are completed within specified timelines and deadlines.
• Coordinating with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary materials and resources.
• Conducting performance evaluations for team members and providing feedback for improvement.

• Organize and direct the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns. 

Eligibility Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. 
• Previous experience of 1 to 2 years in landscaping or related supervisory roles is required.
• Strong knowledge of landscaping principles, techniques, and practices is essential. Familiarity with various plants, trees, and landscaping materials is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams is important. They should have the ability to effectively delegate tasks, provide guidance, and resolve conflicts.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, are crucial. 
• Being able to identify and solve issues that arise during landscaping projects is essential. Quick thinking and adaptability are valuable traits for this job.
• Understanding and enforcing safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for the team is vital.
• Strong organizational skills are necessary to plan and execute landscaping projects efficiently, manage resources, and adhere to schedules.
• One often works outdoors and may need to engage in physically demanding tasks. Good physical fitness is advantageous.
• A customer-centric mindset is valuable, as the job may need to interact with clients and address their concerns.
• The areas of specialization encompass interior landscaping, lawn care, and ground maintenance.
