Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist early childhood educators in providing a physically safe and emotionally supportive environment for children.
• Encourage and assist each child in carrying out daily routines.
• Assist with children’s physical needs for toileting, eating, and sleeping.
• Prepare & serve snacks and organize space, equipment, and materials prior to activities.
• Carry out a daily schedule that incorporates storytelling and provides opportunities to
express creativity through the media of art, music, etc.
• Greet parents and children and discuss children’s progress at meetings.
• Use observations to expand play and plan activities that identify individual differences.
• Work with early childhood educators to organize and review individual program plans.
• Aid in maintaining records for each child.
• Perform other duties as assigned by early childhood educators or supervisors.

Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School is required.
• A minimum of 6 months’ experience is required.
• Post-secondary education in Caregiving is considered an asset.
