Job description
Start Day: As soon as possible
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Constructs, erects, installs, maintains and repairs structures and components of structures made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
- Skills in cutting and building stairs
- Schedule and coordinate work on site
- Supervise other workers
- Working experience with hand tools, wood measure, cut, shape, assemble structures and join materials made of composite/PVC, wood, to install stairs and other custom structures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Good communication skills and leadership qualities
- Self-motivated and team player
- Works well with others and able to take on a leadership role
- Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- Minimum experience required (3+ years)
- Ability to work standing for extended periods
- Able to work within tight deadlines
- Experience with and knowledge of most Carpentry tools
