Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the budget for the organization, ensuring that expenses align with revenue projections and financial goals.
- Develop a set of financial policies and procedures aimed at ensuring uniformity and adherence to regulations throughout the organization.
- Provide financial training and guidance to staff members to ensure responsible financial practices throughout the organization.
- Examine and make sense of financial information, then present it clearly in different operational contexts.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with overall business objectives and provide financial guidance.
- Stay updated with financial technology trends and oversee the integration of new tools and systems to enhance financial operations.
- Supervise and track budgets while predicting financial outcomes to inform decision-making.
- Perform diverse financial analyses to offer insights into trends, discrepancies, and enhancement possibilities.
- Conclude negotiations regarding service agreements, financial terms, conditions, price justifications, taxation, budgets, availability, and more.
- Aim to sustain a motivated and effective finance department.
- Devise and execute strategies to reduce and address risks within the business unit, while identifying both current and potential areas of risk in its operations.
- Ensure that the organization complies with all financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is typically required.
- Significant experience of 5 years or more in financial management or related roles is typically required.
- The Budgetary responsibility falls between $500,001 - $1,500,000.
- Ability to develop financial strategies that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Strong leadership skills to oversee and guide the finance team effectively.
- Capability to negotiate financial deals, contracts, and partnerships that benefit the organization.
- Excellent communication skills in English for conveying financial information to various stakeholders.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities when it comes to financial matters.
- Skill in identifying and resolving financial challenges and issues.
Location: Etobicoke, ON M9C 5J1
Salary: $ 65.50 hourly / 35 hours per Week
Number of vacancies: 1
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
