JOB SUMMARY:
Our firm is looking to hire a highly skilled Software Engineer to assist with building computer software systems and participate in the design process from beginning to end. As a Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building and optimizing high-performance software applications. Our ideal candidate is skilled, adaptable, self-motivated and works well as part of a team.
JOB TITLE: Software Engineer
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 1
JOB DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES:
- Work closely with Workday application, capturing feedback on past integrations, and translating them into innovative feature ideas
- Build robust and scalable Java APIs that facilitate seamless integration
- Develop and manage database systems
- Research, review and analyze data and technical information to design, develop and test software systems
- Use UML (Unified Modeling Language) for designing and documenting software architecture and system interactions, including class diagrams, sequence diagrams, and state diagrams
- Troubleshoot, test and develop ways to maintain operating systems and other software
- Conduct user interviews to gain insights to their needs, pain points, and challenges in adopting ML technologies, and effectively translate them into technical requirements
- Use analytical skills to generate and prioritize potential features and enhancements based on user feedback and market trends
- Implement efficient data processing and communication mechanisms using Java, enabling flawless data exchange between systems
- Test and examine code and analyze results
- Facilitate requirements gathering, design, tenant review and other customer-facing sessions as required
- Other related duties as required
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of related experience
- Completion of Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required
- Verbal and written English communication skills
- Experience in Workday Integrations is preferred
- Working knowledge in Workday functional modules – Core HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Advance Compensation, Absence / Time Tracking Performance and Expense modules is an asset

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent, Full-time, Long-term.
WAGES: $53.95 per hour
HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week
OVERTIME: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations.
BENEFITS PACKAGE:
- Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by the employer.
- Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.
