Salary: $ 29.25 hourly / 35 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and cut wood or other construction materials according to project specifications.
- Assemble and install frameworks, cabinets, doors, windows, and other wooden structures.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing wooden structures, including fixing damaged parts or replacing them.
- Interpret and work from construction blueprints, drawings, or sketches to ensure precise construction.
- Choose appropriate lumber or materials for each project, considering factors like strength and cost-effectiveness.
- Attach hardware such as hinges, handles, locks, and knobs to doors, cabinets, and other wooden items.
- Construct and install the framework for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs.
- Apply finishes like paint, stain, or varnish to wood surfaces for protection and aesthetics.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and test structures for stability and safety.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to minimize workplace hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
Eligibility Requirements:
- No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this job.
- Requires physical strength, manual dexterity, and good hand-eye coordination. Basic math skills are also important for measurements and calculations.
- The job involves working with potentially hazardous tools and materials. Understanding and following safety procedures is crucial.
- Previous experience of 1 to 2 years in carpentry is essential to becoming a skilled carpenter.
- The job can be physically demanding, involving lifting heavy materials and spending long hours on your feet. Good physical health and stamina are important.
- Good English speaking skills are essential for smooth communication.
