Phoenix Homes (2011) Ltd. located in Surrey; BC is currently hiring 1 full-time Carpenter for their growing team.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $30.00 per hour

Start date: As soon as possible.

Work locations: Candidates are required to work in Surrey, BC, and various other locations in the Lower Mainland (BC) area as per company’s contracts with its clients.

Job duties: 

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Finish the surface of woodwork in houses and buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new projects remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and subflooring, build walls, and install partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Operate hand and power Carpentry tools.

• Supervise other construction workers.

Job Requirements:

• Completion of High School
• Completion of 3-4-year apprenticeship program in the relevant trade or at least 3 years of work experience in a similar trade.
  • Ability to communicate in English.

Note:  Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided up to $1000.00 for qualified candidates
