Job Description
A private family in NANAIMO BC need a permanent Full time nanny for 2 children [8 and 10 years old]. Salary is 16.00 per hour, 8 hours per day, 5 days a week, 40 hours per week, 2 days flexible days off.
Shift schedule: 7:00am to 10:00am 3 hours- morning schedule
2:00 pm - 7:00 pm 5 hours- afternoon schedule.
Duties include:
Supervise and care for children in employer's or own residence
Bathe, dress and feed children
Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and may perform other housekeeping duties
Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by empolyer
Maintain a safe and health environment in the home
Instruct children in personal hygiene
Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development
Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings
Take children to and from school and appointments
May be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each cild.
Employment requirements
Completing of secondary school is an asset
Completion of training program in child care or a related field is an asset
Child care or household management experience is an asset
Demonstrated ability to perform work is required
First aid certification and CPR [cardiopulmonary resuscitation] training is an asset.
Language requirement:
Speak English, Read English, Write English
Medical and Criminal Record is required.
