Villa Electric (1980) Ltd. located in Surrey; BC is hiring 3 full-time Electricians for projects across the Lower Mainland (BC) area. The Electrician will be working on various sites in cities across Lower Mainland and will be responsible for the layout, assembling, installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of electrical wiring, fixtures, and control devices. This position requires a polished, energetic, and ambitious candidate with a positive attitude.

Work locations: Various Locations in Surrey (BC) & other areas in Lower Mainland (BC) as per company’s contracts with its clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to plan wiring layouts for new as well as existing installations.
• Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and floors.
• Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment.
• Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Connect cables to electrical fixtures and components by cutting, joining, and connecting wires.
• Test electrical systems for loose connections, broken insulation, and isolate faults, using hand and power tools.
• Promote and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, safe operating procedures, and the observance of protective equipment requirements every time.
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.
• Perform any other reasonable duty as required.

Job Requirements

• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of a 4-5 year apprenticeship program or at least 3 years work experience in the similar trade is required.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Able to work well independently and within a team.
