Requirements:

• Completion of High School is required.
• No experience required. On job training will be provided. Any previous experience would be considered as asset.
• Basic Knowledge of English Language
• Driver's License (Class 1 or A) or Equivalent, or eligible to obtain the same., Air Brake (Z) Endorsement required.

Compensation Package:

• Our drivers would be paid at $27.60/hr. for 50 hours per week and Overtimes at $41.40/hr. after every 60 hrs. per week.
• 2 Weeks paid vacation or 4% of Basic Salary
• 5 Days of sick leave per year
• Other benefits as per BC Employment standards act.

Job Responsibilities:

•  Able to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials to their destination.
• Loading and unloading of goods.
• Ensuring the safety of Cargo.
• Must be able to do emergency road side repair if required.
• Be in touch with dispatcher to update the status of dispatch.
• Oversee the condition of vehicles before starting the route.
• Plan travel schedules and routes.
• Make sure all paper work is completed.
• Record cargo information such as fuel consumed and distance travelled.
• Must be able to drive as a part two-person team.
• Must be able to driver for long-haul
