Job Title: Indian Cook
Job Overview:
As an Indian Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic & fusion Indian dishes with precision and adherence to traditional and modern recipes. Your expertise in Indian culinary techniques and flavors will contribute to creating a diverse and flavorful menu for our establishment. An ideal cook plays a crucial role in creating a positive culinary experience for customers while maintaining the operational efficiency and profitability of the establishment.
• Education: College Diploma or Equivalent
• Language: English
• Work Experience: At least 1 year of Work Experience as a cook in a restaurant/hotel/catering
• Positions Available: 1
Main Duties:
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods as per business requirements.
Use different methods of cooking like frying, baking and boiling to prepare dishes as per menu requirements.
Use of proper Indian kitchen equipment such as pressure and steam cookers, Handi, fryers and tandoor ovens will be required from time to time.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine the menu, introducing exciting new flavors and culinary concepts.
Monitor and ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of highest
Quality at all times and standard recipes are followed at all times.
Maintain the quality of each dish while ensuring a speedy output.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, freezer/fridges, kitchen equipment, counters and storage areas.
Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to enrich and advance various processes through the effective use of available resources.
Skills Set: Attention to detail, multi-tasking, Menu development, Proficient in cooking techniques like baking, frying, steaming and use of tandoor, Training Kitchen helpers.
• Work Hours: 8 Hour Shifts, 40hrs/week, Weekdays & Weekends
• Wage: $23.00/hour
