LILLOOET AUTOBODY TOWING & SALVAGE LTD. is looking for 1 Tow Truck Driver. This position will be full time with 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week. Our company is located at 205 Main St, PO Box 159 Lillooet, British Columbia V0K 1V0

The Job Duties for this position will be:

• Receiving communications from the company dispatcher.

• Driving to the scene of a vehicle breakdown or accident.

• Interacting with the customer to find out the nature of the problem.

• Performing roadside vehicle diagnostics.

• Performing minor repairs.

• Jump-starting vehicles, changing tires and reconnecting vehicle parts.

• Suggesting a course of action.

• Connecting the damaged vehicle to the truck with a chain, winch or steering block.

• Towing the vehicle to an authorized service station or junkyard.

• Reporting to base and completing paperwork.

• May perform emergency roadside repairs

• Ensure vehicles are secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures

• May drive as part of a two-person team or convoy

• Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailer, long-combination vehicle and straight-body trucks

• Record hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption

Job Requirements:

English is required

On-the-job-training is provided.

Completion of high school is required

Class 1 drivers license is required

What we offer:

$29 per hour

4% vacation pay
