A warm and welcoming family in Gatineau is seeking a caring and responsible Nanny to assist with childcare and household duties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, a positive attitude, and a willingness to contribute to a safe, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of parents
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
• Shop for food and household supplies
• Travel with the family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping tasks
• Wash, iron, and press clothing and household linens
• Bathe, dress, and feed infants and children
• Discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents
• Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development
• Maintain records of daily activities and health information regarding children
• Always ensure a safe and healthy environment for the children
• Organize activities such as games, crafts, and outings for children
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for the children
• Supervise and care for children in the absence of parents
• Take children to and from school, appointments, and extracurricular activities
• Attend to the emotional well-being of the children
• Assist children with homework and school-related tasks
• Cook and prepare family meals as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience with children preferred (under 1 year of experience is acceptable)
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Ability to perform light housekeeping duties
• Strong communication skills
• First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
