Job Duties:
Prepare and cook full-course meals tailored to club menus and member preferences.
Ensure the quality, consistency, and presentation of all food items served.
Determine portion sizes and assist with plating for regular dining and special events.
Organize and manage buffet-style service for tournaments, banquets, and club functions.
Supervise and schedule kitchen helpers to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
Train kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, safe food handling, and sanitation standards.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food service areas.
Inspect food preparation areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Operate and maintain specialized kitchen equipment, including deep fryers, grills, and commercial ovens.
Collaborate with the head chef or kitchen manager on menu planning, inventory, and cost control.
Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring timely and efficient food service to members and guests.
Job requirements:
Education: Secondary school is an asset
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in commercial cooking required
Ability to work in kitchen for extended hours
