Responsibilities

Tasks

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual food items ensuring quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Design menu, plan meal offerings and set appropriate portion sizes.
• Evaluate food requirements and manage inventory, tracking supplies, ingredients, and kitchen equipment to avoid shortages.
• Inspect and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Coordinate schedules and supervise kitchen staff.
• Manage daily kitchen operations, monitor food preparation, and maintain a high standard of efficiency and hygiene.
• Organize and manage buffet setups, ensuring attractive presentation and adequate food quantities for service.
• Clean, sanitize, and arrange kitchen equipment and workspaces, maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, proper cooking methods, and safe food handling.
