Responsibilities
Professionalism in customer service
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform preventive maintenance
Manage difficult situations with customers
Ensure transport compliance with regulations
Load and unload vehicles using forklift or dolly
Take vehicle for servicing
Perform minor service and maintenance to vehicles
Assist trucks and delivery drivers to load and unload vehicles
Follow emergency and safety procedures
Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems
Connecting the damaged vehicle to the truck with a chain, winch or steering block.
Towing the vehicle to an authorized service station or junkyard.
Jump-starting vehicles, changing tires and reconnecting vehicle parts.
Driving to the scene of a vehicle breakdown or accident.
