Job Details:

Hours: 30 hours/week, Monday to Friday 3-8PM and Saturday 6-10PM

Start Date: As soon as possible

Location: Employer’s private residence in East Vancouver

Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum secondary school diploma
Experience: No necessary experience needed given the children’s ages (7 and 11).
First Aid: Standard First Aid & CPR certification an asset
Languages: Fluent in English; French or spanish are assets
Background Check: Clean criminal record
Work Setting: Employer’s home
Work site environment: Non-smoking

Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide nurturing and safe childcare at all times
Prepare healthy meals and snacks appropriate for ages 7 & 11
Assist with homework and educational activities
Plan and engage in stimulating play, crafts, outings
Manage children’s hygiene routines (bath, dressing, etc.)
Keep children’s spaces tidy and perform light housekeeping related to childcare (ltoy cleanup, dishes, etc.)
Transport children to/from school, extracurriculars (if needed)

Wage and Benefits:
Hourly Rate: CAD $22/hour
Statutory deductions: EI, CPP paid employer’s share
Paid vacation and sick leave per BC standards
