Sushi Station, located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, delivers authentic Japanese cuisine crafted to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook complete Japanese-style meals and individual sushi dishes.
2. Plan and manage the preparation of sushi ingredients.
3. Ensure food preparation meets health and safety standards.
4. Supervise and coordinate activities of kitchen staff.
5. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
6. Develop and test new sushi menu items or seasonal specials.
7. Train junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques, etc.

Qualifications & Skills

1. High school diploma/graduation is required. Prior completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety is an asset.
2. Minimum 1 years of experience in the hospitality, retail sale or related industries, prefer to have related experience.
3. Excellent understanding and knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology.
4. Able to work under pressure.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Fluent communication skills in English.
