Home Care Worker — Private Household (JIANG)
Location: Richmond Hill, ON L4B 4B5 — on-site only (no remote)

Schedule & Pay

• Permanent, full-time (30–40 hours/week)
• Days, evenings, nights, weekends as needed
• $33–$36/hour, negotiable based on experience
• Start date: As soon as possible

About the Role
We are hiring a compassionate, reliable caregiver to support an elderly female family member with medical needs in our non-smoking home. The role focuses on personal care, mobility support, meal preparation, medication assistance, companionship, and keeping the living area clean and safe.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full personal care: bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing, and toileting (including diaper changes and skin care).
• Monitor and report changes in physical/emotional health to family or healthcare providers.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals per dietary needs; assist with feeding if required.
• Support mobility and safe transfers; encourage light exercises as recommended.
• Assist with prescribed medications as directed by family/health professionals.
• Offer companionship and engage in supportive activities.
• Accompany the senior to appointments/outings and provide assistance throughout.
• Perform light housekeeping related to care (laundry, tidying, sanitizing).
• Follow established routines and care plans to ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or related training with a hands-on placement.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant caregiving experience.
• Current First Aid certification.
• Language: English; Mandarin an asset. If not fluent, must be comfortable using instant translation tools.

Security, Health & Safety

• Clear criminal record check.
• Medical exam; routine vaccinations required (including COVID-19 and seasonal flu).
• Driver’s licence validity check may be requested.
