Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Winnipeg, MB R2H 1H1
Work Location: On-site (no remote option)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours of Work: 30 hours per week
Salary: $24.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Early morning, Shift, Morning, Day
Start Date: As soon as possible

Education

• College/CEGEP

Experience

• 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities / Tasks

• Calculate and prepare payroll cheques

• Calculate fixed assets and depreciation

• Maintain financial records; establish, balance, and reconcile various accounts using both manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

• Maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements

• Post journal entries accurately

• Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports

• Prepare and file tax returns

• Prepare trial balance of books

• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices

• Proficiency with manual and computerized accounting systems

• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping

• Ability to analyze, reconcile, and prepare financial statements

• Good organizational and time-management skills
