• Salary: $36.00 hourly

• Hours: 30–35 hours per week

• Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time

• Work Schedule: Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours

• Work Location: On-site at employer’s home (no remote option)

• Start Date: As soon as possible

Overview

• Languages Required: English

• Asset Language: Chinese (The household primarily communicates in Chinese and speaks limited English. Applicants who can speak Chinese will find it easier to communicate. However, if you do not speak Chinese, you may still be considered if you are otherwise suitable for the role. In such cases, you should be comfortable using an instant translation tool to assist with communication.)

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

• Work Environment: Employer’s home, non-smoking

• Target Audience: Elderly, males, persons with a disability

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care

• Administer medications as directed

• Assist clients with bathing, personal hygiene, and dressing

• Support clients with regular exercise (e.g., walks)

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals

• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Provide personal care and monitor well-being

• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties

Credentials

• Required Certificates:

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Personal Support Worker Certificate

Additional Information

• Security & Safety: Basic security clearance, drug test

• Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

• Personal Suitability: Dependability, reliability, organized
