Responsibilities

• Welds and repairs truck chassis, trailers, and container frames to ensure structural integrity.
• Fabricates custom metal parts and mounts for fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Performs MIG, TIG, and arc welding on steel and aluminum components.
• Repairs cracked, broken, or worn metal sections on transportation equipment.
• Cuts, shapes, and assembles metal using torches, grinders, and welding tools.
• Interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and repair orders for welding tasks.

• Conducts routine inspections of welded joints and metal parts for safety compliance.
• Maintains welding machines, tools, and equipment in safe working condition.
• Collaborates with mechanics and technicians to support timely fleet maintenance.
• Follows workplace safety standards and transportation industry regulations during welding operations.
