Responsibilities/Tasks

  • Assess potential individual and business clients to understand their insurance needs and recommend suitable coverage options using the Applied Rating System and other brokerage tools.
  • Calculate insurance quotes and premiums accurately for both standard and non-standard markets in compliance with underwriting guidelines.
  • Promote and sell a wide range of insurance products, including Commercial General Liability (CGL), Cargo, Cyber, Crime, IRCA, and Errors & Omissions (E&O) coverage.
  • Liaise with underwriters to obtain necessary approvals and negotiate terms and conditions for customized insurance solutions.
  • Analyze clients’ risk profiles and financial requirements to prepare tailored insurance proposals that meet their protection and compliance needs.
  • Process policy applications, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations while ensuring that all required forms and supporting documentation are completed correctly.
  • Collect premiums for agency-billed policies on or before the effective dates and maintain accurate financial records of transactions.
  • Provide ongoing client service by responding to policy inquiries, monitoring claims, and recommending policy amendments or additional coverage as needed.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships through networking, referrals, lead management, and cold calling to expand the customer base.
  • Stay informed about changes in insurance products, market trends, and regulatory requirements to provide up-to-date and compliant advice.
