Employment requirements

  • Secondary school
  • At least 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar position as Machinist in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Physically capable of handling heavy materials (ability to lift up to 50 lbs.).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Attention to details
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production setting.
  • Language of work: English.

 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements, and the optimal sequence of operations.
  • Calculate and verify dimensions, tolerances, and reference points; measure and lay out work pieces to prepare for machining operations.
  • Set up, operate and maintain a variety of machine tools to perform required operation
  • Monitor machining operations to ensure adherence to specifications, making adjustments as necessary to maintain accuracy and quality standards.
  • Fit and assemble machined metal parts and subassemblies to complete finished products.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Wage

$37.50 per hour
