Position Details

Position: Carpenter

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time 
Salary: $37.00 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible 
Work locations: Various Locations in Surrey (BC) & other areas in Lower Mainland (BC) as per the company’s work contracts with its clients.

Job Duties

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble materials such as wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, channels and other materials.
  • Work on new buildings, renovations, and additions to existing wooden structures in various stages of construction.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, subflooring, wall systems, bulkheads, soffits, partitions and finish surfaces of woodwork.
  • Secure framing components using screws, anchors, and fastening systems to concrete, wood, or structural steel.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings and hardware components.
  • Supervise other construction workers at the site.
    • Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to site safety protocols.

Job Requirements

• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of an apprenticeship program in a relevant trade or Minimum 3 years of experience in the trade is required
• Ability to communicate in English

Note

• Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided for up to $1000.00 for qualified candidates.
