Home Childcare Provider – Full-Time, Permanent

We are a private household in New Westminster, BC seeking a reliable and caring Home Childcare Provider to provide full-time care for our young children in our home.

Wage: $21.00 per hour (approximately $38,220 per year based on 35 hours per week)

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise and care for children in the employer’s home
• Assist children with daily activities such as dressing, feeding, and personal hygiene
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks
• Plan and engage children in age-appropriate educational, recreational and outdoor activities
• Take children to and from school, appointments and activities
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized home environment related to childcare
• Support children’s emotional well-being and positive behaviour
• Communicate regularly with parents about children’s daily routines and progress

Job Requirements:
• Experience in child care or caring for young children is an asset
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Patience, reliability and a caring attitude
• First Aid and CPR certification is an asset
• Secondary school completion is an asset

Language of work: English
Vacation pay and statutory holiday pay will be provided in accordance with the BC Employment Standards Act.
