Position Overview – Landscaping Supervisor                                                

Dulai Landscaping & Lawn Sprinklers Ltd. is currently seeking a Landscaping Supervisor to join our growing team on a full-time, permanent basis. This position is well suited for an experienced landscaping professional with strong leadership skills and hands-on industry knowledge. The Landscaping Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily landscaping operations, supervising on-site crews, coordinating work schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards. The successful candidate will work across various residential and commercial sites throughout the Lower Mainland and will play a key role in planning, organizing, and supervising landscaping activities in alignment with client requirements, company standards, and regional environmental conditions.

Work Location: Various Locations in Lower Mainland (BC) and/or as per company’s contracts

  • Salary: $36.60 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise landscaping crews onsite, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Plan and allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials, to achieve cost-efficient and seamless project execution.
  • Oversee and participate in the installation and maintenance of ornamental trees, shrubs, flowers, lawns, and hardscape features such as pathways, patios, and retaining walls.
  • Assign and monitor tasks, provide clear direction and ensure all work meets company and customer expectations.
  • Develop and manage work schedules and procedures to keep projects on track and teams coordinated.
  • Troubleshoot issues on site, addressing equipment concerns or project challenges to maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations, offering guidance and constructive feedback to support growth.
  • Train and mentor team members on landscaping techniques, plant care, lawn maintenance, fertilizer use, and seasonal upkeep.
  • Provide training on workplace safety protocols, ensuring all crew members follow best practices to maintain a safe and compliant job site.
  • Support winter operations by assisting with snow removal services when required.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, fostering a safe and organized work environment.
  • Communicate with customers professionally, provide updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout each project.
  • Perform other assigned job duties as required to ensure projects are completed smoothly and without hurdles.

 

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field.
  • Completion of High School would be an asset.
  • Education in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field is an asset, but not mandatory. Candidates with hands-on experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Strong understanding of plants, grasses, fertilizers, and landscaping maintenance techniques.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and practices related to landscaping and equipment operation.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to coordinate with team members, management, and customers.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Problem-solving skills to address project challenges and make effective decisions.
  • Capability to work in varying weather conditions and assist with snow removal when required.
