Position Overview

 

Alpine Landscaping is growing and seeking experienced Landscaping Supervisors to lead our field operations. This role is ideal for hands-on leaders who thrive in managing teams, overseeing job sites, and delivering consistent, high-quality results across a range of landscaping projects. As a Landscaping Supervisor, you will be assigned responsibility for both ongoing projects and new projects, including landscape installation, maintenance, and renovation work. You will lead and coordinate crews and support team members, plan daily work activities, and manage site operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans, schedules, and company standards. The Supervisor is fully accountable for the execution of assigned projects, from organizing labour, equipment, and materials to monitoring quality, productivity, and safety on site. This role requires strong leadership skills, practical landscaping knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a hands-on presence in the field. Through effective leadership and oversight, the Landscaping Supervisor ensures that every project meets Alpine Landscaping’s standards for functionality, durability, and visual appeal.

Salary and Benefits

 

Salary: $36.60 per hour

Stable & full-time employment

Company provided vehicle

Referral Bonus: $1000.00 CAD (for current employees)

Relocation Assistance: $1500.00 CAD (for qualified candidates coming from different cities, provinces, or regions)

 

JobResponsibilities

 

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate landscaping crews on site to ensure assigned projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and to established quality standards.
  • Take full responsibility for ongoing and new projects, including landscape installation, maintenance, and renovation work.
  • Plan and allocate labour, equipment, and materials efficiently to support cost-effective and well-organized project execution.
  • Oversee and actively participate in landscaping activities, including the installation and maintenance of trees, shrubs, lawns, flower beds, and hardscape features such as pathways, patios, and retaining walls.
  • Assign daily tasks, monitor progress, and provide clear direction to ensure work meets company standards and client expectations.
  • Develop and manage work schedules, job procedures, and site workflows to keep crews coordinated and projects on track.
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues related to workflow, materials, equipment, or weather conditions to minimize delays.
  • Ensure workplace health and safety is treated as a top priority at all times, maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant job site.
  • Train new and existing team members on safety procedures, safe equipment use, and company policies, ensuring full understanding and compliance.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to crew members on landscaping techniques, plant care, lawn maintenance, fertilizer application, and seasonal services.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support employee development and productivity.
  • Support seasonal operations, including winter services such as snow removal, when required.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, property managers, and internal teams by providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth and successful project completion.

Job Requirements

 

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field.
  • Education in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field is considered an asset; however, candidates with strong hands-on experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Sound knowledge of plants, turf, fertilizers, and landscaping maintenance techniques.
  • Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations and safe operation of landscaping tools and equipment.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence (or equivalent) with the ability to operate company vehicles as required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with crew members, management, and customers.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and timely project completion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address on-site challenges and make practical, effective decisions.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and support seasonal operations, including snow removal, when required.
