Restaurant Assistant Manager - Job Ad

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary:$36.60Hourly,  for 40.00Hours per week

Education: Completion of high school is required

Experience: 3 years of experience in the food service industry, including supervisory experience, is required 

Languages: WrittenandSpokenEnglisharerequired 

Duties:

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating daily restaurant operations
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of servers, kitchen staff, hosts, and other restaurant employees
• Monitor service quality to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, and scheduling staff
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and food safety standards
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food, beverages, and restaurant supplies
• Help control costs by monitoring labour, food waste, and operational expenses
• Participate in cash handling procedures, including daily sales reconciliation and deposit preparation
• Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the restaurant
• Assist in implementing promotional activities and special events to increase sales
• Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving revenue targets and operational goals
