Permanent Full Time Child Caregiver - Private Home wanted for Gallop/Totten family, located in the Heritage Drive Community of Fort McMurray Alberta.   Wage rate is $20.00 per hour and works at least 40 hours per week. Benefit includes 10 days vacation after 1 year of service.

JOB DUTIES:

• Assume full responsibility for household in absence of the parents.
• Supervise and care for a child in the employers’ private residence.
• Oversee child’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the parents.
• Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development.
• Tend to the emotional well-being of the child.
• Discipline the child according to the methods requested by parents.
• Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
• Plan, prepare and serve nutritious meals for the child and perform other light housekeeping duties.
• Maintain a healthy environment in the home.
• Shop for food and household supplies.
• May travel with the family as required to assist in supervision of the child.

Education: Completion of high school is required.

Work experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience is required.
