Job Title: CNC Machinist

Company: Ostaco Windows and Doors
Location: Concord, ON (On-site)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40–45 hours per week
Start Date: As soon as possible

 

About the Role

Ostaco Windows and Doors is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our team in Concord, Ontario. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing precision machining operations to produce components in accordance with technical specifications while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining operations and optimal production methods
  • Set up, operate, and adjust CNC and conventional machine tools for operations such as milling, turning, drilling, boring, and sawing
  • Program and modify CNC machine settings to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances of finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Plan and sequence machining operations to maximize productivity and minimize delays
  • Monitor machining processes and troubleshoot issues to maintain product quality and production timelines
  • Coordinate workflow and prioritize production schedules to meet operational requirements
  • Maintain machinery, tools, and work areas in accordance with safety and operational standards
  • Collaborate with quality control and production teams to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Assist in developing tooling, fixtures, and machining processes to improve efficiency
  • Record production data and maintain accurate documentation of work performed
  • Support installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery and equipment as required

  • Standing for extended periods
  • Handling materials up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Willingness to work early mornings, overtime, and flexible shifts as required
  • Criminal record check may be required

  • Hourly Wage: $39.00 – $40.00 (negotiable based on experience)
